LifeLogger Mobile: Coming to a phone near you

Update:

LifeLogger Mobile is public. 'Mobile junkies jump for joy' and find out more here and here! Beyond the features covered in the preview posting below, you can today also check out your Friends list, view and reply Private Messages, view Profiles and create a full blog entry. And the best part is, we're planning many more innovations for your personal LifeLog on the mobile web, so watch this space!

Mobile TV they say? LifeLogger Mobile is instead your own show on a mobile phone, featuring you and whoever else you cast on your LifeLog.

Not only can you feed your media and thoughts directly from your mobile phone to your personal LifeLog, as you can today with LIfeLogger’s various mobile upload tools:

but you now also have the option to consume yours and your friends LifeLog on-the-go, tuning in from the comforts of your very own mobile phone.

Early on, we tinkered with the idea of porting some of LifeLogger’s web browser functionality to your mobile phone, in a fashion I would call a ‘dumb port’. But as we live and breathe mobile, we decided that LifeLogger’s mobile phone experience itself should go a few steps further. Above all else, it should be a functional version of LifeLogger, with the required dosage of class, to make browsing and consuming LifeLogger on-the-go a breeze.

Top that off with some nifty add-ons, such as uploading media captured on your mobile phone hot off your mobile phone’s memory card, and you’ve got yourself a closed mobile loop … well, almost … we’ve got a few more pieces we're in the midst of putting together before our big reveal ... but that’s a story for another day ;)

Back to the trusted mobile, one of my staple reads is MobHappy and their prodding on approaches towards mobile access coincidentally holds true for us and how we’ve envisioned LifeLogger Mobile complementing the overall LifeLogger experience -

Carlo Longino - “focus on adding value to users’ internet experiences by recognizing that mobile browsing is different than browsing from a computer and add to (not replace) the open access with more customized services … for users that want them.

Russell Buckley - "As speed increases and as site designers finally realize that there’s more to a mobile web site than simply copying the full web version, the reasons for non-usage will gradually disappear. As more and more users finally start using the mobile web, it’ll become clear to everyone that the future of the web is mobile and we’ll smile nostalgically at those hulking great machines we used to hook up to the digital world with - what we call computers, nowadays."

With that, the following is a teaser of our summer blockbuster release:

We're looking forward to bringing LifeLogger Mobile to you (very) soon and we will work towards making it even more functional for your needs, with a way to experience your LifeLog's video and audio content, more notifications, etc taking initial priority. So, stay tuned to our New Features section for the premiere of LifeLogger Mobile at a mobile theatre near you.

Warning: We cannot guarantee yours or your phone's safety if you choose to ignore warnings to switch off your LifeLog at the cinema or 35,000 feet in the air.
